Rudiment Lab
A drum practice companion that makes the next session clear and keeps progress close at hand.

The problem
A practice list alone does not tell you what to work on next or which tempos you have already completed. Rudiment Lab combines that list with a focused practice flow.
What I built
- 40 rudiments with search and a sticking guide.
- Two-minute practice sessions with a metronome and pause/reset controls.
- Starter tempo goals, custom BPM goals and personal records.
- Progress stored in the browser, with JSON backup import and export.
AI in the process
This is a tool built with AI assistance. Practice timing, metronome playback and progress tracking run as ordinary browser code; no AI model is needed during a session.
The experience is designed around one useful next action: choose a rudiment, set a tempo and practise.
What to know
Progress stays in the browser on the device you use. It does not automatically sync to another device, and clearing browser storage can remove it. Use the backup controls to keep a copy.
Completion is self-reported. The tool does not listen to or assess your playing.
